Royal Enfield sold 63,643 motorcycles in May 2022

Royal Enfield has released its sales report for May 2022 with a total sales of 63,643 units. The figure for May 2021 stood at 27,294 units, thus resulting in year-over-year growth of 133 per cent. Royal Enfield exported 10,118 units for the international market, thus making it the highest ever figure to date. For the domestic market, Royal Enfield posted a total sales of 53,525 units, up from 20,073 units which is a growth of 167 per cent.

Royal Enfield praised its well-established relationship with the Indian Army with an extraordinary memorial design – the ‘Tornadoes Wall’ in Bengaluru. This sculpture is a sign of regard to the persistent courage and valiance of the fighters of the Indian Army. The group also unveiled the Tornadoes Coffee Table Book, which outlines the rich history and accomplishments of the group.

Eicher Motors Limited has posted its financial result. The company has registered its highest-ever revenue for the quarter ending March 31 2022. The revenue for the company stood at an all-time high at INR 3,193 crores. Up by 8.6 per cent as compared to INR 2,940 crores in the corresponding quarter of FY 2020-21.

EBITDA, which stands for the earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization, was 757 crores. This is up by 19.3 per cent as compared to INR 634 crores in the same quarter of the previous financial year. The profit of the company after all the taxes was INR 610 crores, a 16 per cent increase as compared to INR 526 crores during the same period last year. For the given quarter, Royal Enfield sold a total of 182,125 motorcycles, down by 10.4 per cent from 203,343 motorcycles sold during the same period in FY 2020-21.

Mr B Govindarajan has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Royal Enfield. This decision was taken after the Board of Directors meeting held on May 13, 2022, at Eicher Motors Ltd.
