Royal Enfield today launched the new Scram 411 motorcycle in the Indian market, which now directly competes with the Yezdi Scrambler. The Yezdi Scrambler was launched in January, giving the brand some advantage to gain sales traction. However, the Royal Enfield Scram 411 is based on the Himalayan, which is already popular amongst adventure tourers and off-road enthusiasts. The Scram 411 offers Royal Enfield tried and tested underpinnings from the Himalayan. But, Royal Enfield has made changes to the riding geometry of the Scram 411 to further enhance its handling in the urban environment.

Royal Enfield Scram 411 Vs. Yezdi Scrambler – Price

The Royal Enfield Scram 411 comes with a starting price of INR 2.03 lakh ex-showroom. Depending on the colour option, the price can go up to INR 2.08 lakh ex-showroom. On the other hand, the Yezdi Scrambler comes with a starting price of INR 2.05 lakh ex-showroom for the single-tone colour and INR 2.11 lakh ex-showroom for the dual-tone colour option.

Royal Enfield Scram 411 Vs. Yezdi Scrambler – Engine Specifications

The Royal Enfield Scram 411 comes with a 411cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine. The fuel-injected SOHC engine produces 24.5 PS of power and 32 Nm of torque. The engine comes with a 5-speed gearbox. The Yezdi Scrambler comes with a 334cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine. The DOHC engine produces 29.1 PS of power and 28.2 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed gearbox and twin exhausts.

Royal Enfield Scram 411 Vs. Yezdi Scrambler – Chassis, Suspension and Brakes

The Royal Enfield Scram 411 comes with a Half Duplex Split Cradle frame. The chassis comes with a 41mm telescopic suspension on the front with 190mm of travel. On the rear, the brand offers a link-type monoshock with 180mm of wheel travel. The Scram 411 comes with a 19-inch front, and 17-inch rear spoke wheels. Braking power comes from 300mm front and 240mm rear disc brakes with dual-channel ABS.

Yezdi Scrambler comes with a double cradle chassis. The frame rides on the telescopic fork and coil spring suspension on the front and twin shock absorbers with gas canisters on the rear. The suspension offers 150mm of travel on the front and 130mm travel on the rear with twin shocks. The Yezdi Scrambler comes with 19-inch front and 17-inch rear spoked wheels. Braking power comes with 320mm front and 240mm rear disc brakes with dual-channel ABS.

The Royal Enfield Scram 411 comes with features such as a semi-digital instruments cluster along with a dedicated Royal Enfield Tripper navigation system. The motorcycle comes with a Halogen headlamp and LED taillamps. The Yezdi Scrambler comes with LED headlamps and taillamps, full digital instruments cluster, handlebar-mounted USB and Type C charging points and Road, Off-Road and Rain riding modes as standard.
