CFMoto 450MT India launch details

CFMoto 450MT

The first stint of CFMoto in India was not nearly as successful as the company dreamt. However, the brand has learnt from its past and it is coming back soon with its 450MT adventure bike this year.

As per the online reports, the 450MT will be the first product that will be offered initially to set base. Additionally, depending on its sales volume and potential for different models, the company will launch other popular bikes.

Mind you, the 450MT is already sold in multiple global markets, and it has a good reputation for being a fun motorcycle. In fact, it is a direct competitor of the Royal Enfield Himalayan and the KTM 390 Adventure internationally.

The primary reason for its popularity is its smooth 449cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine. With a firing order of 270 degrees, this engine makes 44 bhp and 44 Nm of output. Additionally, it gets a 6-speed gearbox and a slipper clutch for seamless power delivery.

The 450MT is also equipped with advanced features like a 5-inch TFT console, Bluetooth connectivity, navigation support, ride modes, and more.

As of now, the exact launch timeline for the 450MT has not been declared. But we anticipate its debut around the festive season this year. The crucial part will be its pricing, which can be aggressive as per the reports online.

We are assuming a price ballpark of Rs 4 lakh for the CFMoto 450MT in India.

Our verdict

The middle-weight ADV bike segment has become rapidly popular in India in the past few years. With the Himalayan and KTM 390 Adventure, this segment has slim-to-none competitors. The debut of 450MT will change that if the company sets up the servicing and sales network correctly.
