Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 officially teased before launch

Royal Enfield is finally ready to launch the Himalayan 450. The Indian bike maker has sent out invites to media houses for an event scheduled on 30 October 2023. Along with the invite, a teaser video is released as well.

Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 : More Details

The new Himalayan 450 is based on a new 450cc platform. This new platform will further spawn a host of other bikes. This new single cylinder engine is expected to be rated around 35-40 BHP and 40 Nm. The bike gets a 6-speed gearbox. The engine also comes with a liquid cooling option.

Coming to the features, the Himalayan 450 gets a windscreen, LED lights, upside-down front forks and rear mono shock and a stubby exhaust. There are disc brakes on both wheels along with dual channel ABS. The bike also gets a new digital instrument cluster.

In terms of design, the bike retains it current shape. The Himalayan has been a pretty popular bike and the new 450 is expected to have a good market presence as well. That said, we will know more details about it only after the official launch.

Accessories for the Himalayan 450

Royal Enfield has also been testing the official accessories for the adventure bike. These include a set of aux lamps and panniers. Owners will also be able to get a top box for additional storage on the Himalayan 450. All these are expected to make the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 a good tourer as well. Apart from these, there will also be a host lifestyle and branded accessories at the time of launch.

Competition of the Himalayan 450

While there is no official word yet on the pricing of this motorbike, we can expect the Himalayan 450 to cost to the tune of INR 3 lakh (ex-showroom). This would mean, the bike would head on against the likes of the KTM 390 Adventure, BMW G 310 GS and the Yezdi Adventure.
