Royal Enfield hikes prices of Himalayan adventure tourer

Royal Enfield has hiked the price of the Himalayan without any mechanical updates. With the price hike, the motorcycle now costs INR 2,10,784 ex-showroom, up from INR 2,05,784 ex-showroom, previously. This is the second time that Royal Enfield has hiked the price. Earlier this year, in July, the company had also hiked the price. The 2021 Himalayan made its debut earlier this year with minor tweaks and updates that enhance the ergonomics, bodywork and new colours.

Royal Enfield Himalayan Specifications

The adventure tourer gets a BS6 compliant air-cooled 411cc single-cylinder SOHC engine. The performance figure of this motor is rated at 24.6 HP of power and 32 Nm of torque. The equipped gearbox is a 5-speed unit. To enhance the off-road motorcycle capabilities, Royal Enfield is using a half-duplex split steel cradle chassis. They are further supported by a 41mm conventional telescopic front fork suspension having a travel of 200mm and a link-type monoshock suspension in the rear.

The motorcycle gets 19-inch front wheels and 17-inch rear wheels. Royal Enfield has added a new Tripper navigation system with the new 2021 Himalayan. This aids the rider to traverse through unknown terrain without any difficulty. This system also includes other features like a clock, distance to next turn, estimated time of arrival, total distance and more.

Royal Enfield has made this motorcycle more off-road capable by adding significant updates. This includes a new front side rack that enhances the ergonomics for taller riders. The bike also gets a new tail rack with more added features. The windscreen has also got wider and taller, thus providing the rider much more wind and weather protection. Royal Enfield is offering the motorcycle in 6 different shades. These are Mirage Silver, Lake Blue, Granite Grey, Rock Red, Pine Green and Granite Black. Of these, Mirage Silver, Gravel Grey and Pine Green are new shades for the Himalayan.
