Royal Enfield hikes Himalayan 450 tubeless spoke wheel price

Written by News Team

Key highlights

  • Price of Himalayan 450 tubeless cross-spoke wheels hiked from INR 12,424 to INR 40,645 for existing owners.
  • Bundled price remains INR 11,000 for first-time buyers purchasing the wheels with the motorcycle.
  • Wheels continue to be offered in three colour options: black, black olive, and gold.

Royal Enfield has significantly increased the price of its tubeless cross-spoke wheels for the Himalayan 450, now retailing at INR 40,645—a steep jump from the earlier INR 12,424. This revised pricing applies to existing Himalayan 450 owners looking to upgrade from the stock tubed setup.

However, the company has retained the INR 11,000 bundled price for customers who opt for the cross-spoke wheels at the time of purchasing a new Himalayan 450.

Why the price hike?

When Royal Enfield launched the Himalayan 450, the tubeless spoke wheels were a standout feature, offering adventure riders a factory-fitted solution that undercut most aftermarket kits. The initial pricing was widely appreciated for its value.

Now, the revised price of INR 40,645 makes the upgrade over three times more expensive, raising eyebrows among the brand’s loyal touring community.

What Himalayan 450 owners still get

Despite the price bump, the product itself remains unchanged. The tubeless cross-spoke wheels are:

  • Compatible with the stock setup
  • Available in black, black olive, and gold finishes
  • Designed to offer better puncture resistance and ease of repair during long-distance rides

The Himalayan 450 continues to be powered by a 452cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine, producing 40 hp and 40 Nm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox.

Our thoughts

This one stings a bit. The original pricing made the tubeless spoke wheels a no-brainer for adventure riders. At INR 40K+, it feels like Royal Enfield just turned a sweet upgrade into a luxury accessory.

That said, if you’re buying a new Himalayan, the INR 11K bundled deal is still a steal. But for existing owners? They might just stick to patch kits and prayers for now.
