Royal Enfield Flying Flea – What to expect?
The upcoming Flying Flea electric bikes are going to become the pivot product for the company in the EV segment. The moniker is likely going to be offered in two trims: roadster and scrambler.
The test motorcycle duo, which has been recently spotted in Ladakh, bears a minimal and simplistic design similar to the prototype. The C6, which is the roadster model, has a unique single-seat design with relaxed ergonomics and retro bits like the round lights, a round instrument pod, etc.
The C6 model is likely to be the first to get launched next year in February 2026. However, we are expecting that the company will debut it at the EICMA 2025 later this year, along with the upcoming Himalayan 750.
Following its launch, the second model, which is a scrambler iteration, will be launched in the next six months. While it is based on the same chassis, battery, and electric motor, it features spoke rims, a monoshock rear suspension, and a more engaging riding triangle.
Meanwhile, the unique placement of the battery and electric motor will deliver the power through a chain drive system. The details about the electric powerplant are scarce at the moment, but we expect around 100 km range for sure.
These motorcycles will be city-centric with a suitable occasional weekend ride use. Hence, the design is also city-friendly and lightweight.
Our verdict
The Flying Flea electric motorcycles will change the course of Royal Enfield’s cult motorcycle heritage into a modern and upmarket two-wheeler manufacturer in the EV market. The expected price range of the Flying Flea is between Rs 3 lakh and Rs 4 lakh.
