Royal Enfield is set to enter the electric motorcycle segment with the launch of its Flying Flea C6, scheduled for early 2026. The announcement was made during the company’s earnings call, confirming that the C6 will debut in Q4 FY26 (January–March 2026), followed by the Flying Flea S6, a scrambler-inspired variant.
Design and features
The C6 draws inspiration from Royal Enfield’s historic WWII motorcycles, featuring a low-slung bobber design with a raked-out front end. The bike is built on a forged aluminum frame, with a girder-style front fork and monoshock rear suspension, ensuring a lightweight yet sturdy structure.
Key design elements include:
- Circular LED headlamp with integrated DRLs.
- Teardrop-shaped faux fuel tank, housing the battery.
- Single-seat layout, with an optional pillion seat.
- Round TFT instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity, built-in navigation, and voice assist.
Performance and battery tech
Royal Enfield has not yet disclosed full technical specifications, but reports suggest the Flying Flea C6 will have a range exceeding 100 km and a top speed of over 100 km/h2. The battery is encased in magnesium, ensuring efficient heat dissipation and durability.
The bike will feature traction control, cornering ABS, and multiple ride modes, including City, Performance, and Reverse.
Market position and expected pricing
The Flying Flea C6 is expected to be priced under INR 3 lakh (ex-showroom), making it one of the most affordable premium electric motorcycles. It will compete with Kawasaki Z-E1, Maeving RM1S, and other urban EVs.
