Introduced at the EICMA 2024, the new Classic 650 is now finally available in India. It is offered in three variants – Hotrod, Classic, and Chrome.

The Hotrod variant has two colour options – Bruntingthorpe Blue and Vallam Red. Both of these colours are priced at Rs 3.37 lakh (ex-showroom).

Additionally, the Teal colour option is available at Rs 3.41 lakh (ex-showroom), while the range-topping Black Chrome is being offered at Rs 3.50 lakh (ex-showroom).

The new Classic 650 is based on the Shotgun 650’s platform, using the steel frame, telescopic front suspension, and dual shock absorbers at the rear.

It is inspired by the Classic 350, which is essentially the best-selling Royal Enfield globally as well as in India. Some of its design highlights include the round LED headlight, teardrop-shaped fuel tank, chrome engine casing, twin chrome exhaust cans, and a single seat option.

Powering the Classic 650 is the tried and tested 648cc, parallel-twin, air/oil-cooled engine. It generates 46.3 bhp and 52.3 Nm of peak power and torque. This powertrain is mated to a 6-speed transmission with a slipper-assist clutch.

The features list includes a semi-digital console with an analogue speedometer, a tripper navigation pod, LED headlight and taillight, spoke wheels, and more. It also comes loaded with a dual-channel ABS as standard.

The bookings for the Classic 650 have commenced across India, and deliveries are expected to take place in the coming weeks.
