Royal Enfield Classic 500 ‘Pegasus’ launched for INR 2,49,217

Limited edition motorcycles are one thing, but Royal Enfield is taking things a little too far we think. Yes, there’s a lot of history attached, but the Royal Enfield Classic 500 Pegasus launched in India for INR 2.49 lakh is just a bit too expensive to feel nostalgic. The Classic 500 Pegasus was revealed in UK recently, and now has been officially launched in India and will be limited to only 250 units.

This motorcycle is limited to only 1000 units globally. This limited edition model is paying tribute to the RE/WD 125 Flying Flea which was used during the World War 2. Each motorcycle sold will have military style canvas pannier bags, Pegasus logo, one helmet & a T-Shirt. So now, the price doesn’t seem too bad right? Will all the official merchandise on offer. There’s a parachute regiment insignia on the fuel tank, individual stencilled serial number and Made Like Gun decal on the battery box.

Available only in the wartime Service Brown colour, the bike will go on sale exclusive on the brands website and will be up for grabs from July 10th, 2018 onwards.

The Flying Flea was a compact motorcycle back then, and the airborne troops would have the bikes dropped by a parachute with the paratroopers to carry important messages. This would surely become a collectors item.
