Royal Enfield has introduced the Goan Classic 350, a bobber-style motorcycle based on the popular Classic 350. While both models share the same platform and engine, the Goan Classic 350 brings a host of design and functional changes that set it apart.
Powertrain
The Goan Classic 350 retains the 349cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine from the Classic 350. It produces 20.2 bhp at 6,100 rpm and 27 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm, paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. However, the Goan Classic features a slash-cut exhaust, which may offer a slightly different exhaust note compared to the Classic 350’s peashooter-style exhaust.
Goan Classic design difference
The most noticeable difference lies in the design. The Goan Classic 350 embraces a bobber-inspired aesthetic with a floating single seat, ape-hanger handlebars, and forward-set footpegs. These changes create a cruiser-style riding position, distinct from the upright stance of the Classic 350. The Goan Classic also features a swingarm-mounted rear fender, whitewall tyres, and cross-spoked wheels, adding to its vintage appeal.
In terms of dimensions, the bobber is taller and wider than the Classic 350. It has a seat height of 750 mm, compared to the Classic 350’s 805 mm, making it more accessible for shorter riders. The rear wheel size has been reduced to 16 inches, while the front retains the 19-inch setup. Both models use telescopic front forks and twin shock absorbers at the rear, ensuring a comfortable ride.

Our thoughts:

Its unique design elements and lower seat height make it stand out, while retaining the reliable performance of the Classic 350. However, the higher price tag may limit its appeal to a niche audience. Overall, it is an exciting addition to Royal Enfield’s 350cc lineup.
