Royal Enfield Classic 350 Bobber coming soon

Written by Kanad Kalasur

Royal Enfield is on a bike development spree. Apart from the new 650cc based motorcycles, the Indian bike maker is now looking at new model launches in the smaller 350cc segment. It is reported that a new bike based on the Classic 350 is going to be launched soon. This is none other than the Royal Enfield Classic 350 Bobber.

Here are some of the highlights of the Classic 350 Bobber

From the leaked image, it appears that the bike will get white wall tyres. This is a pretty rare sight. No other bike on sale in India gets such white wall tyres. The older classic bikes used to come with white wall tyres. Looks like Royal Enfield is planning to go for period-correct components.

In terms of handlebar, the bike could get an ape handlebar. These units are available in multiple sizes and Royal Enfield could opt for one which looks the best while being practical for the rider.

The standard option will get a single seat, but a pillion seat is likely to be offered as an accessory.

Features on the Bobber could include spoke alloys, front telescopic forks, rear dual shockers and a front disc and rear drum brake. The bike could also come with dual channel ABS. Expect Royal Enfield to offer a host of accessories including alloy wheels, luggage options and other lifestyle goodies.

Powertrain of the Royal Enfield Classic 350 Bobber

The engine of the Bobber 350 will most likely remain the same as that of the Classic 350. Hence, this is a 349cc, air-oil-cooled, long-stroke unit. This comes mated to a five-speed gearbox making 20.2 BHP and 27 Nm of peak torque.

Launch and Pricing details of the Royal Enfield Classic 350 Bobber

In terms of pricing, this could sit above the top-end Classic 350. This means the price could be around the INR 2 lakh mark.
Royal Enfield could plan to launch this bike sometime later this year. The likely time frame includes the September festive season.
