The British luxury carmaker Rolls-Royce has debuted its special Spectre Black Badge in India at Rs 9.5 crore. The special edition EV features a unique design and interior upgrades, along with a host of customisation options. Read more below.

Rolls-Royce Spectre Black Badge details
The newly launched Spectre Black Badge is now exclusively available at the New Delhi and Chennai dealerships of the company. It is based on the Spectre EV, but it gets special exterior and interior changes.
On the outside, it gets blacked out elements, including the door handles, front grille, bonnet, roof, badges, and the iconic RR ornament. Additionally, it gets special 23-inch forged aluminium alloy wheels and a choice of up to 44,000 exterior colour options. Customers can also opt for the illuminated grille, which is available with four colours: Tailored Purple, Charles Blue, Chartreuse, and Forge Yellow.
Meanwhile, on the inside, it features a unique dashboard with five different themes for the digital cockpit. Additionally, it gets a unique “Illuminated Fascia”, which comprises 5,500 digital stars of various sizes and brightness, providing a galaxy-like appearance to the dashboard. Moreover, the cabin gets the special hand-made Black Badge seats and a mix of carbon fibre and metal elements.
Powering the Spectre Black Badge is the same 102 kWh battery pack as the standard model. However, with tuning versatility, it makes 659 bhp and 1,075 Nm of power and torque, which is 74 bhp and 175 Nm higher than the standard model. Hence, it can sprint 0-100 km/h in 4.1 seconds, which makes it 0.4 seconds quicker than the Spectre.
With a launch price of Rs 9.5 crore (without any customisations included), the Black Badge is positioned at Rs 1.88 crore higher than the standard Spectre EV.
Our verdict
Rolls-Royce has witnessed a strong demand surge in India as the brand continues expanding its EV lineup. In fact, the premium EV segment is pacing fast than the mass segment EVs in India. The new Spectre Black Badge is soon going to hit the roads as the deliveries are expected to commence in the coming months.
