Revolt Motors, one of India’s next-gen mobility companies, has started 2022 by inaugurating its first retail store in Lucknow. Along with being its first dealership in the Uttar Pradesh region, the company has opened its 20th dealership in India. Uttar Pradesh is the largest state in the country and has emerged to become a high-demand market for electric two-wheelers. Revolt’s new state-of-the-art facility’s location is Hall 1, Upper Ground Floor, MK silver heights, Ring Road, Khurram Nagar, Lucknow- 226022.
Customers can check out the brand new dealership to explore and witness the brand’s flagship electric motorcycle, the RV400. Meanwhile, the Government of Uttar Pradesh offers a 100% tax exemption for electric two-wheelers and around 75% tax exemption for other EVs. The Uttar Pradesh Government also plans to provide exemptions and incentives for the first 1,000 EV charging stations. These policies will not only enhance electric mobility in the state but will also accelerate the adoption of EVs.
Plans for 2022
In December 2021, Revolt Motors inaugurated its dealerships in the West and South Indian regions of Kolkata, Madurai & Coimbatore. Previously, the RattanIndia-backed company expanded towards Vijayawada and aimed to enter 50+ new Indian cities to fulfil increased customer demand. Revolt Motors will follow its plan of opening dealerships in the Chandigarh and NCR regions in order to increase its foothold.
Revolt Motors aims to set up retail partners across key cities in India to provide flexible and cost-effective innovations. Along with driving the growth of self-reliance, Revolt’s new dealerships will act as an EV ecosystem across the country. Additionally, the company is also leveraging AI to upscale and provide in-house developed, contactless experiences for its customers. According to Revolt Motors, these steps will ensure the growth of its customer base by a large margin in India.
Revolt RV400: Highlights
Powered by a 3kW (Mid Drive) motor, the RV400 sports a 3.24kWh lithium-ion battery and three riding modes. The e-bike produces 6.8 PS and 54 Nm, which allows for an 85 kph top speed figure. Riders can use the Eco, Normal, and Sport riding modes of the e-bike along with the connectivity features.
By using the ‘MyRevolt’ app, riders can access Geo-fencing, customizable sounds, complete bike diagnostics, riding data, and the distance travelled. Offered in Rebel Red, Cosmic Black, and Mist Grey colours, the RV400 can charge from 0-75% within 3 hours. The company also claims that riders can switch out their battery packs within 60 seconds at their nearest Revolt Switch Station.
