Heavily Revised Honda RC213V Race Bike

The weapon of choice for Marc Marquez and Pol Espargaro is the heavily revised Honda RC213V race bike. The new race bike boasts to offer a tough competition to the other 22 world-class riders between early March and early-November. Repsol Honda Team will be striving for victory from Qatar to Indonesia, Argentina to America, all throughout Europe and across Asia announced the brand.

The First Race

The new season will begin under the unique floodlights of the Losail International Circuit just outside of Doha, Qatar. The race track was introduced back in 2004 and was converted to a night race in 2008. Losail has been part of the opening season since each season from 2007, with 2020 being the only exception. The race will take place at 18:00 Local Time on Sunday, 6th March.

Marc Marquez

Number 93 rider Marc Marquez will be entering the tenth season in the premier class with the Repsol Honda Team. The rider has 142 MotoGP race starts and is the third most experienced rider on the grid. Marquez’s mission for this season is to return to the top position as the rider faced hardships during the 2020 and 2021 seasons. Marquez has claimed victory once and finished on the podium on all but two occasions at the Losail circuit in his last seven races.

Pol Espargaro

Pol concluded the final pre-season test in Mandalika, Indonesia, as the fastest rider over a single lap. Espargaro is not starting the year resting in this season, the rider aims to maintain an upward trajectory for 2022. Espargaro has achieved the best result of seventh place at the Losail circuit since his debut in 2013.
