Renault sold over 3,000 cars in Diwali 2021

Renault has announced its achievement of selling 3,000+ cars and is currently celebrating its 10-year anniversary of operations in India. The brand enhanced its progression thanks to a product-offensive strategy that sold cars during Diwali and Dhanteras. Despite the challenges faced by Renault, due to India’s macroeconomic environment, the French automaker sports a substantial product portfolio.

Renault’s Segment Disruptors

Renault India’s delivery line-up consists of its recently launched Kiger which showcases the best fuel efficiency in its class. The other addition to the line-up includes the Renault Triber which recently achieved a 4-star Global NCAP crash safety rating. This also includes the Renault Kwid which revolutionized the budget car segment in India with its attractive and affordable pricing. To commemorate its 10-year anniversary Renault launched the new RXT (O) variant of the Kiger and the 2021 Kwid. These products are part of the automaker’s plans to introduce feature-rich, Made-in-India products aimed to innovate and disrupt the market.

Renault’s Plans for Expansion

Along with its product portfolio expansion strategy, Renault aims to increase its Indian network by introducing unique and revolutionary initiatives. For enhanced customer association and loyalty, the brand has introduced more than 500 sales and 530 service touchpoints in India. This also includes the 250+ Workshop On Wheels locations spread across the country which ensure top-notch sales and service quality. Within a year, Renault India has won over 60 awards, making it one of the most awarded automakers in India.

2021 Renault Kiger – Detailed Highlights

Due to the demand for sub-compact SUVs in India, Renault’s new Kiger has attracted a substantial customer base. Based on ARAI testing and certification, the Kiger sports a segment-best fuel-efficiency figure of 20.5 kmpl. Renault offers the Kiger in 5 trim levels which are RXE, RXL, RXT, RXT (O), and RXZ. The base RXE variant of Renault Kiger sports a price tag of INR 5.64 lakh (ex-showroom).

2021 Renault Kiger – Price and Engine Specifications

On the other hand, the top-spec RXZ Turbo AT costs INR 10.09 lakh (ex-showroom). Renault offers the Kiger a choice of two 1.0-litre petrol engines to cater to a variety of customers. The standard naturally-aspirated, 1.0-liter, three-cylinder motor produces 72 PS of power and 96 Nm of torque. The three-cylinder, turbocharged, 1.0-litre engine on the other hand produces 100 PS and 160 Nm.

2021 Renault Kiger – Transmission and Colours

Renault offers the naturally-aspirated engine with a 5-speed manual and 5-speed Easy-R AMT transmission options. The turbocharged engine also gets two gearbox options which include a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed CVT automatic. Renault offers the Kiger in 6 colours – Caspian Blue, Radiant Red, Moonlight Silver, Planet Grey, Ice Cool White, and Mahogany Brown.
