Renault launches updated Kiger & Triber AMT in India

Renault India has a new update to share. The French carmaker has commenced deliveries of the BS6 Stage 2 compliant Kiger and Triber AMT. The updated cars will meet the new emission norms in the country. The Renault Kiger starts from INR 8.47 lakh while the Triber range begins from INR 8.12 lakh. All prices ex-showroom.

Highlights of the updated Kiger & Triber AMT

Both the Kiger and the Triber AMT get Renault’s Human First Program. This safety program ensures minimising the risk injury to the occupants in case of accidents. Further, not just the occupants, but pedestrians and other vulnerable road users are also thought about. Under this initiative, the car’s come with accident mitigation systems like the Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Hill Start Assist (HSA), Traction Control System (TCS) and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).

Renault Kiger : More Details

The Kiger has been co-developed by French and Indian design teams. India is also the fifth largest market for the French brand. The Kiger comes with a choice of 1.0-litre turbo petrol or a 1.0-litre NA engine. In terms of transmission option, customers get a CVT or a 5-speed AMT apart from the manual option.

The Renault Kiger has received a 4-star Safety Rating for adult occupants by Global NCAP. Standard safety features include quad airbags (dual front and side), seat belts with pretensioners and load limiters.

Renault Triber AMT : More Details

The Triber is India’s safest 7-seater. According to Global NCAP, the compact MPV managed to secure a 4-star safety rating for adult occupants. The Triber is known for its interior packaging and offers a value-for-money offering in the segment.

The French carmaker has sold over 9,00,000 cars in India. There are over 450 authorised dealerships across 29 states. Further, Renault also exports cars made in India for other overseas markets.
