Renault has launched the BS6 compliant Duster at the starting price of INR 8.49 lakh ex-showroom, Delhi. The BS6 Renault Duster is offered in the RXE, RXS and RXZ trim with a 1.5-litre petrol engine. The European brand in India has launched the Renault Triber MPV and the Renault Kwid hatchback with the upgraded BS6 engines back in January 2020.
In terms of its exterior styling, the BS6 Duster remains the same and comes with the tri-winged grille in chrome, LED daytime running lights, projector headlamps, a raised muscular bonnet with character lines, a large air dam, faux skidplate finished in silver, rounded foglights with black inserts and chrome accents, flared wheel arches, blacked-out B-pillar, turn signal integrated ORVMs, roof rails with the ‘Duster’ moniker and LED combination tail lamp.
On the interior, the Renault Duster comes with a newly styled control mounted steering wheel, analogue-digital instruments cluster, dual-tone contoured seats, piano black embellishment on the centre dashboard with a large touchscreen infotainment system, cup holders, rotary air-condition controls, etc.
In the engine department, the Renault Duster now comes with a BS6 compliant 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 106 PS of power and 142 Nm of torque matched to a 5-speed manual transmission.
In terms of safety, the Renault Duster comes with dual front airbags, ABS with EBD & brake assist, rapid deceleration warning, driver & Passenger seatbelt reminder, reverse parking sensors and engine immobiliser as standard while top trim variants get speed sensitive door locking, impact sensing door unlock, Electronic Stability Program (ESP) and Hill-start Assist.
The Renault Duster BS6 range starts from INR 8.49 lakh for the RXE trim, INR 9.29 lakh for the RXS trim and INR 9.99 lakh for the RXZ trim variant. Apart from the Duster, the BS6 range of the Triber MPV starts from INR 4.99 lakh for the RXE trim, INR 5.74 lakh, INR 6.24 lakh and INR 6.78 lakh for the RXL, RXT and the RXZ trims respectively. Similarly the brand’s entry-level hatchback, the BS6 compliant Kwid starts from INR 2.92 lakh.
