ReadyAssist, one of the leading 24/7 roadside assistance service providers now claims to become the country’s first on-spot breakdown support provider to enable an umbrella of services under one platform for all the electric vehicle owners in the country. Launched in 2019, ReadyAssist mentioned that it attended over 4 lakh incidents in the last 12 months. But, now the startup wants to enter the electric vehicle segment, which is growing at a healthy pace and has a very bright future in the upcoming years.
ReadyAssist – India’s First RSA Provider For Electric Vehicles
Witnessing the steady growth of electric vehicles in the country, ReadyAssist will assist the owners with a host of services like battery swapping, on-the-spot charging via its mobile charge units and more. The company mentioned it is planning to provide pan India roadside assistance to electric vehicles which will span over 5,000 locations. ReadyAssist also plans to help its current existing mechanic partners with the funding, which will help them in setting up micro-charging stations at their home to support the electric vehicle owners across urban and rural areas. These micro charge stations will help build a wide and robust e-mobility infrastructure which will further push people to opt for electric vehicles. The company’s technology platform will coordinate with these micro-charging stations and the customers can use these stations via subscription models.
The Future Of Electric Vehicles In India
As per research reports, the electric vehicle market will likely hit 63 lakh units per annum by 2027, growing at a CAGR of 44 per cent between 2020 to 2027. Many automotive companies are already making huge investments to develop electric powertrains. Under the FAME (Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Hybrid and Electric Vehicles) scheme, the Government of India is also pushing the citizens to opt for electric vehicles by giving attractive incentives. But, the customers are still dicey about some factors like the availability of charging stations, reliability and more. Thus, ReadyAssist is trying to build a competent service and support network which will aim to win the citizens’ trust towards electric vehicles thus pushing for the increase in sales.
