Raptee.HV T30

Bengaluru-based Raptee.HV, a new startup that introduced its first product, T30, last year in October, has achieved the complete certifications from the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI). It is the only EV bike that supports the combined charging system 2 (CCS2), which is the rapid charging technology.

The T30 was launched at Rs 2.39 lakh (ex-showroom) last year, and it has received more than 8,000 bookings till now. This has generated a revenue of USD 25 million, translating roughly into Rs 218 crore.

Speaking of the T30, it is a naked sports bike, of which the company claims to have power and performance equivalent to a 300cc ICE motorcycle. It uses the trademark 240V high-voltage architecture, which enables it to support DC fast charging, something that was seen on the electric cars until now.

The company has already patented more than 156 different parts that are designed to support the high-voltage charging system. Additionally, the company is working on expanding its charging stations with up to 20,000 DC chargers in India.

The EV maker has also stated that it has a target to begin the deliveries in Chennai and Bengaluru in the first quarter of 2025-26. The sole competitor of the T30 is the Ultraviolette F77 SuperStreet.

Our verdict

With the rapid charging technology, the T30 electric motorcycle is expected to change the electric two-wheeler segment forever. Rapid charging will enable users to ride the e-bike for long distances. It will also become a good alternative to buyers who are willing to buy a fun-to-ride bike with EV architecture.
