QJ Motor Launches SRT 300 DX, Aimed at Dual-Sport Enthusiasts

Chinese motorcycle manufacturer QJ Motor has officially unveiled the SRT 300 DX, a dual-sport adventure motorcycle designed to compete with established models like the Honda CRF300 Rally and Suzuki DR-Z400. The bike boasts rugged styling, impressive ground clearance, and a lightweight frame, making it a strong contender in the off-road segment.

Engine and performance

The SRT 300 DX is powered by a 292.3cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, delivering 29 hp and 24.5 Nm of torque. The 157 kg kerb weight ensures a solid power-to-weight ratio, making the bike nimble and responsive on trails.

Off-road capability and design

Built on a steel frame, the SRT 300 DX features:

  • 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels, wrapped in knobby tires for superior off-road grip.
  • 275 mm ground clearance, allowing riders to tackle rough terrains with ease.
  • USD front forks and monoshock rear suspension, ensuring smooth handling over uneven surfaces.
  • 890 mm seat height, which may be challenging for shorter riders but offers better control for off-road riding.

Market position and pricing

The SRT 300 DX takes design inspiration from Honda’s CRF300 Rally and Africa Twin, blending aggressive styling with adventure-ready features. In China, the bike is priced at $4,350 (approximately ₹3.73 lakh), significantly undercutting the Honda CRF300 Rally’s $7,600 (INR 6.51 lakh) price tag.

QJ Motor plans to launch the model in select European and Southeast Asian markets, but an India launch remains unlikely.
