QJ Motor SRK 500 RA – What is it?
The newly unveiled SRK 500 RA is based on the middle-weight, fully-faired SRK 500 RC motorcycle. In fact, both models are identical in terms of platform, design, and even features.
However, creating a major separation between both models is the new automatic gearbox on the SRK 500 RA. While the specification details about the new gearbox are not out yet, we know that the bike features revised riding controls.
Unveiled on the global social media handle of the QJ Motor, the SRK 500 RA features a repositioned rear brake pedal. The rear brake lever is absent now, because it has been moved to the left-hand side of the clip-on handlebar.
The teaser image also shows the paddle shifter buttons positioned underneath the switchgear control columns on both sides of the handlebar.
As far as the design is concerned, it has a full-fairing with a dual-pod LED headlight, a committed riding posture, and an underbelly exhaust can, all of which give the bike a proper sportsbike outlook.
Powering the SRK 500 RA is the 499cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine, which develops 53 bhp of peak power. On the hardware front, it runs on 17-inch alloy wheels suspended over USD front shocks and a monoshock at the rear.
More details regarding its automatic gearbox are likely to be revealed in the coming days.
Our verdict
QJ Motor is essentially expanding in the European market, with a focus on other markets, including its home ground, China. The new SRK 500 RA will embark on a new segment or niche of middle-weight, affordable automatic bikes.
