Pure EV Etrance Neo 120 km range electric scooter launched at INR 76,000

Electric mobility solutions manufacturer Pure EV has launched a new model in the Indian market priced at INR 75,999 ex-showroom. The e-scooter will make its official debut on the 1st December 2020, and the high-speed electric scooter is dubbed Etrance Neo. The Etrance Neo is the fifth product in the brand’s portfolio along with Etron+, Egnite, Etrance, Etrance+ and EPluto 7G. 

The Pure EV Etrance Neo is powered by a 2.2 KW Peak BLDC Electric Motor 60V 2.5 KWh Portable lithium-ion battery with a metallic casing, NMC 18650 3C Ultra Performance, a Smart Active Balance 50A battery management system and 60V 20 Tube Vector Looped controller. The Etrance Neo comes with a CC-CV Portable charger with 67.2V 10A charging output. The brand claims that the Etrance Neo is able to go from 0-40 kmph in just 5 seconds and come with a 120 km range in ECO mode and can do a top speed of 60 kmph.

The Pure EV Etrance Neo comes with an aerodynamic body with body-mounted turn indicators, multi-reflector headlamp, rounded mirrors, 4 Inch LCD Display, 10-inch alloy wheels shod in fat rubber tyres. The Etrance Neo features disc brakes on the front and drum brakes on the rear. The Pure EV ETrance features seating for two people, ergonomic grabrail for the pillion and chevron-shaped LED tail lamps. The Etrance EV will be available in 6 colour options – White, Red, Blue, Black, Grey and Silver. 

The brand has also launched the standard Etrance+ e-scooter in India priced at INR 62,999 ex-showroom. The smaller capacity version is powered by a 250 Watt Brushless Hub Motor matched to a 60V 1250 Wh Portable NMC 18650 3C Ultra Performance battery pack, Active Balance 35 A battery management system and 60V Vector Looped controller. The electric powertrain can do a top speed of 25 kmph and return a range of 85 km on a single charge. 

Apart from the Indian market, the Hyderabad-based also intends to foray in the international market and the brand has announced that the first market will be India’s neighbour Nepal.
