Production of 10th generation Honda Civic begins in India

Honda has started production of the all-new Civic sedan in India. This is the 10th generation model which is making a comeback as the Civic nameplate had been discontinued nearly 6 years back from the Indian market. The new Honda Civic will be manufactured at the brands plant in Greater Noida.

Honda will officially launch the all-new Civic on 7th March 2019. The brand claims that they have already received bookings which will result in a 3 week waiting period for the Civic even before the launch. With the launch of the Civic, Honda claims that their sedan lineup will be complete for India which starts from the Amaze, to the CIty, then Civic and finally the Accord.

When launched, the Honda Civic will come with a diesel manual and a petrol CVT engine option. The diesel powered Honda Civic will have a segment best 26.8 kmpl mileage claim which is far superior than competition. The new Honda Civic also comes loaded with features, and rivals the likes of Skoda Octavia, Hyundai Elantra & Toyota Corolla Altis.

Bookings for the new Honda Civic are open for INR 31,000.
