Powerful Hero MotoCorp Xpulse 200 4V looks ready for launch

Written by Nizam Shaikh

Hero MotoCorp is planning to launch a new model update of the popular Xpulse 200 4V. Recently, we reported that images of a test mule emerged on the internet, which appears to be in the final production avatar. The new Xpulse 200 4V features new graphics and, as the name suggests, a four-valve engine. The motorcycle is currently under test on public roads, and now it has been spotted again in a production-ready avatar. This leads us to believe that the launch is just around the corner.

Hero MotoCorp Xpulse 200 4V – Spyshots

In our last report, we saw the Xpulse 200 4V testing on the road. Now the brand could be readying the model at a display or a dealer convention. But here, the graphic theme of the Xpulse 200 4V is different from the one seen in previous spy shots. The brand is likely to offer multiple options in the colour palette. This time around, we also see the new Xpulse 200 4V with a blue and white colour combination. We know that the brand will provide blue and black and blue and white colour combinations from spy shots. The dual-tone style is also likely to continue with popular Xpulse colours such as red, black and green.

Hero MotoCorp Xpulse 200 4V – Engine Specifications

Powering the Xpulse 200 4V is likely to be the same 199.6cc air-oil-cooled single-cylinder engine. But the brand will upgrade the valve distribution to four valves. This is likely to help the motorcycle gain power and torque earlier in the RPM range and also allow the bike to be more friendly on the highway. Currently, the engine produces 18 PS of power and 16.45 Nm of torque paired to a 5-speed gearbox. While the engine has enough grunt to go off-road trails and explore the urban jungle, it certainly lacks highway performance. With the new update, Hero is likely to address this making the adventure enduro an all-rounder.

Hero MotoCorp Xpulse 200 4V – Price

Hero MotoCorp is likely to price the Xpulse 200 4V slightly higher than the current model, which comes at INR 123,150 ex-showroom.
