Porsche reveals 911 Turbo 50 Years limited edition model

Performance car brand Porsche has revealed a special “911 Turbo 50 years Edition” at the Monterey Car Week 2024 in the USA. The limited edition 911 Turbo celebrates the brand’s 50 years since the first 911 Turbo was launched by the German carmaker. The limited edition model is limited to 1974 units reverberating the year it was first introduced and pays tribute to its predecessors through exclusive exterior and interior features. In addition to this, the limited edition 911 Turbo 50 Years also comes in s special Turbinate Grey colourway which has been reserved specifically for 911 Turbo models.

What’s Special?

The Porsche 911 Turbo 50 Years edition comes with vinyl graphics that replicate the 911 RSR Turbo concept and also gets a bespoke Turbo badge. In addition to this, the car also comes with unique badging all around to differentiate the special edition car from the standard. Porsche is also offering a special engine cover grille and puddle lamps on the limited edition model. Furthermore, the interiors come with McKenzie Tartan internally known as “ferry” on its seats as well as doors. Details include Porsche’s historic crest on the bonnet from the 1960’s, “Turbo 50” badge and Porsche logos all finished in Gold. The owners of the Porsche 911 Turbo 50 Years also get a special chronograph watch as part of the limited edition package.

Powertrain

The Porsche 911 Turbo 50 Years is based on the current 911 Turbo S and comes powered by a 3.7-litre twin-turbo flat-6 engine developing 641 Hp of power and 800 Nm of torque matched to an 8-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) dual clutch gearbox. The engine is capable of propelling the car from a standstill to 100 kmph in just 2.7 seconds and achieve a top-speed of 330 kmph.

The Price

The limited edition Porsche 911 Turbo 50 Years comes with a price tag of GBP 200,600 which roughly converts to INR 2.20 Crore.
