Porsche has launched the new entry-level trim of the Macan electric car in the Indian market at the price of INR 1.23 Crore ex-showroom. The entry-level model comes with a single motor as opposed to the dual motor setup that is available on the higher-spec variants.
Porsche Macan EV – Powertrain and Performance
Powering the entry-level Porsche Macan EV is a 355 BHP/563 Nm rear mounted single electric motor. The rear motor powers the rear-wheels of the EV and is capable of sprinting from 0-100 kmph in 5.7 seconds. In addition to this, Porsche also claims that the Macan with the single electric motor is capable of a top speed of 220 kmph. The electric car also comes with a 100 kWh battery pack which delivers a range of 641 km on a single charge. Furthermore, the battery can be replenished from 10-80% SOC using a 270 kW DC fast charger in just 21 minutes thanks to the 800V electric architecture. The Porsche Macan also comes with Porsche Active Suspension Management system with electronically controlled two-valve dampers.

The Porsche Macan also comes with features such as a wide two tone dashboard that accommodates the large touchscreen infotainment as well as the full digital instruments cluster really well. The Macan also comes with a raised central tunnel with physical controls to the HVAC. The Macan also comes with LED lights in a quad-eye fashion on the front and connected lamps on the rear. The Porsche Macan also comes with a plethora of active and passive safety features including multiple airbags.
Porsche Macan EV in India
In addition to the entry-level Macan EV, in the Indian market, Porsche still retails the Macan EV in the new 4S variant priced at INR 1.39 crore ex-showroom. The electric car is also available with a top-spec Turbo trim, priced at INR 1.69 crore ex-showroom.
