Polaris launches flagship RZR Pro R Sport in India at INR 59 lakh

Polaris India Pvt. Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Polaris Industries Inc., has announced the launch of its flagship model, RZR Pro R Sport, in India. Moreover, making the occasion more special was the first delivery of the model to a Hyderabad-based customer. Polaris Vijaywada’s dealership head, Mr Prakash Rao, handed over the vehicle to the new proud owner. 

Polaris India’s Country Manager says the launch of its flagship model further strengthens the brand’s commitment to the Indian market. The brand will continue to expand its Indian offerings with robust and robust vehicles. Furthermore, he said the RZR Pro R Sport will take off-roading to the next level.

Polaris India has priced the RZR Pro R Sport at INR 59 lakh onwards (ex-showroom). The brand says it is the perfect companion for all the experiences that qualify to be off-road. 

Polaris RZR Pro R Sport – Highlights

The flagship model from Polaris uses the ProStar Fury 2.0L engine. This 1997cc 4-stroke liquid-cooled DOHC inline-four cylinder engine makes 225 HP of peak power. It also features electronic fuel injection for more precise fuelling. The two-seater RZR Pro R Sport is 74-inch wide and has a ground clearance of 16-inch for the ultimate off-roading experience. It also comes with three drive system types of Pro Performance True. These include – 2WD, 4WD and 4WD Lock. Polaris says the feature also gives RZR Pro R Sport the agility, control and power to take on the toughest of terrains.

The Polaris RZR Pro R Sport uses 2.5-inch front and 3-inch rear Walker Evans Velocity Needle Shocks with 16-position adjustable clickers. To take on the roughest of terrains, it gets 565mm of front wheel travel and 622mm of rear wheel travel. The brake setup includes hydraulic discs front and back with three-piston callipers up front and two-piston callipers at the back.

The RZR Pro R Sport rides on 15×7-inch cast aluminium wheels with large 32-inch Maxxis Rampage Fury tyres. To go the distance, it also comes with a 45.4-litre fuel tank. Meanwhile, the approximate dry weight of the RZR Pro R Sport is 945 kg. 

Polaris In India

Polaris entered the Indian market with its ATVs and Snowmobiles back in August 2011. Through its selected product range, it aims to create a whole new culture of off-roading in India. The brand currently has a network of 11 dealerships and over 90 Polaris Experience Zones. With the Polaris Experience Zones, the brand also aims to take the off-road riding culture way ahead.
