Pirelli has revealed the new Diablo Rosso IV Corsa high-performance tyre. The hypersport tyre claims to raise the bar of sport riding even higher in the Diablo Rosso family. The brand reveals that the new Diablo Rosso IV Corsa has been developed to satisfy the most demanding motorcyclist seeking high performance from the tyre and is one step higher than the Diablo Rosso IV supersport tyre. The new tyre will allow riders to fully utilise the potential of their machine and also enhance the handling and performance consistency.
Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV – 150th Anniversary Edition
The Diablo Rosso IV celebrates Pirelli’s 150th anniversary as the tyre was born in the same year, becoming an integral part of the celebrations. The brand has also revealed that it has launched a limited-edition Diablo Rosso IV Corsa to commemorate milestone. The special edition features Pirelli’s 150th-anniversary logo on its sidewall.
Pirelli History
The company was formed in Milan on 28th January 1872 and produced the first tyre for bicycles in 1890. The brand first participated in the first motorcycle races in 1897. The company still continues with the role of sole supplier to the Superbike World Championship. Pirelli is also the most successful brand in MXGP. Pirelli Diablo Rossa IV Corsa – Compounds
Pirelli reveals that the Diablo Rosso IV Corsa front tyre comes with a central band that has a Full Silica compound. This band occupies around 45% of the section width and offers a contact area of up to 25 degrees of lean angle. The side areas have a softer compound, also Full Silica but laced with innovative resins providing excellent grip and feedback.
The rear tyre also features a bi-compound structure with a central Full Silica compound. The shoulder compound is 100% Carbon Black and derives from Diablo Supercorsa SC used in racing competitions. The compound is capable of full lean and traction during acceleration managing the torque generated by the latest generation superbikes.

The tyre also features a group of longitudinal grooves that assures directional stability and water evacuation. The tyre also offers excellent structural stability and comes with wear waves, and enables even wear. The intermediate area also features linear grooves of different lengths to offer balanced compound flexibility and water evacuation. Pirelli reveals that the tyre will offer higher grip in dry conditions, Enhanced hi-performance handling and precise feedback and Performance consistency over multiple riding sessions.
