Petrol burning Audi Q5 launched for INR 55.27 lakh

Written by Parichay Malvankar

Audi has today launched the petrol-powered variant of the Q5 SUV. This new Q5 petrol has been priced at INR 55.27 lakh ex-showroom and will be available across all Audi showrooms starting today. Audi is struggling to gain momentum in the luxury car market while Mercedes-Benz is sprinting ahead with their product portfolio.

The Audi Q5 petrol is powered by a 2.0, turbocharged TFSI motor producing 252 HP of power and 370 Nm of torque matched to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. Audi also offers the Quattro all wheel drive system with the new Q5 petrol. For an engaging drive, the Q5 petrol gets 5 driving modes – comfort, dynamic, efficient, auto & off-road.

There are no cosmetic changes on the new Q5 petrol, save for the 45 TFSI badge slapped on the tailgate. The Q5 comes with features such as Matrix LED headlamps, 5-spoke alloy wheels, chrome surround for the large front grille, body cladding, beige + black interior upholstery, leather seats, 8.3″ infotainment system, Head-up Display, 3-zone climate control, wireless charging, etc.

The Audi Q5 design now doesn’t really appeal to us. With the Mercedes-Benz GLC offering a elegant body style and the Lexus NX300h on the other hand being the most radical in the segment, the Audi Q5 just looks very average now.
