Ola has announced two new models of scooters. These include two versions of the S1 Air and two versions of the S1. The Ola S1 Air range now starts from INR 84,999.
Ola S1 Air : More details
Ola is now offering three different battery options on the S1 Air. These include 2 kWh, 3 kWh and 4 kWh battery packages which offer a range of 85 km, 125 km and 165 km respectively.
Apart from the battery size, there are no changes. All these three versions will be powered by the same 4.5 kW electric motor. The top speed of the scooter is 85 km/h.
Ola also announced that the purchase window of the entry-level Ola S1 Air is now open. The deliveries are scheduled to commence from July 2023.
The S1 Air looks very similar to the Ola S1 and S1 Pro. However, while the scooter’s body is the same, this variant gets conventional suspension at the front and back. The front gets telescopic fork suspension while the rear gets shock absorbers. Gone are the disc brakes, and the S1 Air gets drum brakes on both ends. The bike also gets a revised one-piece grab handle.
Ola S1 : More details
Ola Electric has offered two versions in the S1 range of scooters as well. Customers will be offered a choice of 2 kWh or a 3 kWh battery sizes. The former will give the scooter a range of 91 km, while the latter comes with a claimed range of 141 km.
Both these will be powered by an 8.5 kW electric motor. The top speed of the electric scooters is set at 90 and 95 km/h respectively.
No changes in Ola S1 Pro
Coming to the top-end scooter, the S1 Pro continues to come with an 8.5 kW motor and a 4 kWh battery pack. The maximum claimed range is 181 km while the top speed is 116 km/h.
