Ola Roadster X deliveries commence – Details
Rolling out the first batch of deliveries of the Roadster X electric motorcycle in Bengaluru, the EV maker has also extended the introductory price benefit of Rs 10,000 for the first 5,000 customers.
Additionally, the extended offer also includes the free upgrade to the Move OS+ feature updates, an extended warranty, and Essential Care Support.
Speaking of the Roadster X, the first-ever electric motorcycle of the brand made its debut earlier this year. It is being offered with multiple battery options, ranging from a 2.5 kWh variant priced at Rs 99,999 (ex-showroom), and goes up to a 9.1 kWh variant priced at Rs 1,99,999 (ex-showroom).
The Roadster X features multiple trademark design and technology features, including brake-by-wire and an integrated motor control unit for extreme performance and efficiency.
As far as the range is concerned, the top-spec 9.1 kWh variant is claimed to have 501 km riding range, while the base 2.5 kWh battery pack variant can do up to 140 km of range.
Feature-wise, the functional-looking electric bike is packed with the latest IP67-rated battery and motor, a colour TFT console with Move OS 5 system, Bluetooth connectivity for smartphones, riding modes, regen modes, and more.
Our verdict
The Roadster X is a solid product to look at on paper. It has long-range, latest-gen features, and most importantly, the functionality of a commuter bike. However, Ola’s after-sales support horror stories are keeping new buyers away from showrooms. The company has already registered a negative growth in Q4 in FY25.
