Electric two-wheeler manufacturer Okinawa Autotech has announced an extended warranty program for its new and existing customers. The main aim of this is to install a sense of confidence about Okinawa products as well as offer support to owners of said vehicles.
Details about the EV extended warranty
The extended warranty program (EWP) is offered in association with Assurant Inc. Okinawa has partnered with the leading global services company based out of New York, USA.
In terms of parts, the warranty will cover traction motors, controllers, DC-DC converters, chargers amongst others. With this move, Okinawa has become the first company to offer warranty on wiring harnesses and frame assembly. This is a good offer for the owners of Okinawa two-wheelers.
The warranty programs also aims to enhance the after-sales experience to customers as well as offer multiple benefits. EWP will delight customers in multiple ways as well as showcases the company’s commitment and confidence to their quality standards.
Pricing of the Extended Warranty Program
The price of the warranty starts from INR 2,289 and goes all the way upto INR 5,494 depending on the product. The warranty will be valid for new customers as well as those who have purchased any Okinawa vehicle within the last 3 years.
The warranty program will be applicable across 540+ authorized dealers of the brand. The company has deployed expert professionals across the country to handle the same. Okinawa claims that the claim filing is quicker, simple and hassle free.
Okinawa Tacita JV
Recently, Okinawa Autotech had announced a new joint venture with Tacita. The electric two-wheeler maker also announced the inauguration of a new Research and Development Centre in Italy, which will be part of this joint venture. Okinawa also said that the total investment in this R&D facility would be Euro 25 million over the next three years.
The first product to come out of this global centre will be the electric cruiser scheduled to be unveiled for the Indian market in the upcoming months. Okinawa has also said that this bike will have the latest EV technology and best-in-class performance compared to the global motorcycle segment.
