Norton V4 launch before 2025 end?

As published recently in an online report by Autocar India, the British premium motorcycle manufacturer, Norton, is going to launch its first two products in India by the end of this year.

The report states that the company is working on a model which is internally codenamed B110, a V4-engine motorcycle, which will be the flagship product.

Now, we know that the V4 SV and V4 CR are the two ultra-premium models of the company. In fact, the V4 CR semi-naked bike was showcased at the Bharat Mobility Expo earlier this year.

New Norton V4SV

By the term ‘flagship’, we can safely assume that it is the V4 SV, which is most likely going to be introduced. If so, then the TVS-owned brand will follow what we call as ‘Top-Down’ product strategy.

Not long ago, Norton’s plan of introducing two affordable bikes between 400- 650cc in India was revealed. However, to establish itself among the Indian consumers, a premium product launch is likely to be a good choice.

As far as the V4 SV is concerned, it will most likely be sold as a CBU model. It being an ultra-premium offering, the pricing will be easily north of Rs 40 lakh.

Our verdict

The Norton V4 SV and CR motorcycles are a piece of art among the motorcycling community. Their superb build quality, precision engineering, and raspy performance are appreciated by enthusiasts worldwide. With the V4 range launching in India soon, Norton will set its future path.
