Nissan will be bringing back the new X-Trail to the Indian market soon. Now teasers of the new Nissan X-Trail lead us to believe that the SUV is likely to be available in a new three-row avatar for the Indian market.

What to Expect?

According to the official teaser, the Nissan X-Trail appears to come with 3-rows which could offer seating for seven. In addition to this, the teaser also reveals an island type infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. The new Nissan X-Trail is also likely to feature a dual pane sunroof and a two zone automatic climate control system. In addition to this, the new Nissan X-Trail in India is likely to come with digital instruments cluster, wireless smartphone charging, keyless entry and push button start.

Expect, the X-Trail to measure around 4,680 mm in length, 1,840 mm in width, and 1,725 mm in height. The premium SUV is also likely to come with features such as cruise control, drive modes, and an e-parking brake with auto-hold function. Powering the Nissan X-Trail in the Indian market is likely to be a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol motor developing 204 Hp of power and 305 Nm of torque paired to a CVT gearbox. In terms of safety, the brand is also likely to offer multiple airbags, as well as ADAS on the X-Trail.

Competition & Price

Currently, Nissan only has a single car in its product portfolio in the Indian market, the Magnite. With the new X-Trail the company will be able to offer more options to its customers in India. In India, the Nissan X-Trail will compete with the likes of the Jeep Meridian, Hyundai Tucson, MG Gloster and the Skoda Kodiaq. Nissan is likely to bring the X-Trail via the more expensive CBU (Completely Built-up) import route and could price it around the INR 35 lakh mark.
