Nissan rolls out 1,00,000th Magnite SUV from Indian plant

Launched in December 2020, the Nissan Magnite clinches yet another milestone. The SUV has reached the one lakh unit production mark for the Indian market. The 1,00,000th Magnite SUV was rolled out from the Alliance plant located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The Japanese carmaker received this figure within just two and a half years of the launch of the SUV.

Nissan Brings In A Special Edition For Magnite – Geza Edition

Nissan recently added a special edition of the Magnite. This is the Geza Edition that retails at INR 7.39 lakh (ex-showroom). This special edition comes with a slew of features. This includes a new nine-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a new beige upholstery, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a JBL sound system, ambient lighting, a rearview camera, and a shark fin antenna.

Made In India Nissan Magnite For The World

Nissan India also exports the made-in-India Magnite to over 15 countries. This includes Bangladesh, Brunei, Seychelles, and Uganda. So far, Nissan has exported close to over one million vehicles from its Chennai facility to 108 nations. The list of counties includes Australia, Europe, the Middle East, South-East Asia, New Zealand, Latin America, SAARC, Sub Sahara, and African regions.

What Is The Nissan Magnite?

The Nissan Magnite is available with a slew of choices across two distinctive engine options. The SUV comes with a variety of single- and dual-tone colour options. In fact, Nissan recently updated the SUV to comply with BS6 phase-2 norms and gave it several features as standard. As a result of this, all variants of the Magnite now come equipped with Electronic Stability Programme (ESP), Hill Start Assist (HSA), Traction Control System (TCS) and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).

The SUV is available in two engine options. First is a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine. And second, is a 1.0-litre, inline three-cylinder, turbo-petrol motor. The former makes 72PS and 96 Nm of torque. Meanwhile the latter belts out 100PS and 160 Nm (152 Nm with CVT) of torque. Customers get two transmission options to choose from, namely, a five-speed manual and a CVT automatic.
