Written by News Team

Nissan India has announced a significant milestone in its journey, with the Nissan Magnite compact SUV crossing the 1 lakh unit sales mark. This achievement underscores the model’s growing popularity and the increasing demand for compact SUVs in the Indian market.

Nissan Magnite Success

The Nissan Magnite, launched in December 2020, has been a game-changer for the automaker in India due to its affordable price tag. With its bold design, advanced technology features, and competitive pricing, the Magnite has resonated with a broad spectrum of customers.

The Magnite’s success has also been fueled by Nissan’s comprehensive after-sales service and the vehicle’s high four star safety ratings. The Magnite is equipped with multiple airbags, Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC), Traction Control System (TCS), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), and Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), ensuring a safe and secure driving experience.

Nissan India has also been proactive in addressing customer feedback and has continually updated the Magnite to enhance its appeal. The company’s commitment to customer satisfaction has played a crucial role in achieving this sales milestone.

Magnite Offering

Currently, the Magnite is the only car sold by Nissan in India. It is available in multiple engine and transmission options. It is powered by a 999 cc naturally aspirated motor that produces 71 bhp and 96 Nm of torque. This engine can be mated to either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT. The second option is a 999 cc turbocharged petrol motor that makes 99 bhp and 152 Nm torque. This engine can be mated to a 5-speed manual or a CVT transmission.

Priced for the Nissan Magnite start at ₹6 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes all the way up to ₹11.11 lakh (ex-showroom). This makes the Nissan Magnite the most affordable compact SUV.  The brand has been updating the car and bringing in special editions from time to time to keep customers interested. The company is also heavily invested in production as the Magnite is made in India and exported worldwide.
