Nissan Magnite sales cross 1.5 lakh unit milestone

Nissan has announced that the brand has recorded a cumulative sales of more than 1.5 lakh units for the Nissan Magnite. The brand also revealed that the August 2024 has the highest monthly wholesale with 10,624 units. Furthermore, the highest monthly export in 5 years stood at 8,361 units. Nissan has announced that the brand has recorded a year-on-year growth of 336% and a month-on-month growth of 91%.

Furthermore, the domestic business recorded year-on-year growth of 0.2% as well as the month-on-month growth of 12.5%. The company also achieved the highest wholesale monthly dispatches for the month amidst multiple industry challenges. Nissan Motor India also marked a new record for the highest monthly export volume in the last five years.

Domestic and International Network Expansion

 The brand is also expanding its domestic as well as international network with recent touchpoint additions in Bengaluru, Srinagar, Salem, Delhi and Durgapur. Nissan also revealed that the magnate also has over 17 global markets with additions in Seychelles, Bangladesh, Uganda, and Brunei. The company also exports to Middle Eastern countries such as Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, and Kuwait which is inline with Nissan Motor India’s ‘Make-In-India, Make for the World’ manufacturing philosophy.

Nissan Magnete – Powertrain

Powering the Nissan Magnite is a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol engine producing 71 Hp of power and 96 Nm of torque. The Magnite is also available with a 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that develops 99 Hp of power and 160 Nm of torque. The naturally-aspirated engine comes with a 5-speed manual transmission and an optional AMT gearbox. On the other hand, the turbo-petrol engine features a 5-speed manual gearbox as well as an optional CVT gearbox.

Currently, Nissan has only two cars in its product portfolio in the Indian market – The Nissan Magnite which comes with a starting price tag of INR 5,99,900 ex-showroom and the Nissan X-Trail which comes with a price tag of INR 49,92,000 ex-showroom.
