Nissan brings in a special edition for Magnite. This is the GEZA Special Edition that comes equipped with a sole 1.0L 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine. Since its launch in 2020, Nissan Magnite has been one of the popular options in the sub 4m segment. It positions below the likes of Tata Nexon, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, and Mahindra XUV300. And directly competes with Tata Punch, Citroen C3, upcoming Hyundai Exter.
Nissan is now fortifying its only offering in India with this GEZA Special Edition. This new edition gets updated interiors that will attract more customers. Nissan India will retail this edition with a starting price of INR 7.39 lakh (ex-sh).
Pricing And Trim Positioning
In terms of pricing, GEZA Edition slots above XL Executive trim gets a price tag of INR 7.34 lakh, ex-showroom and below XV trim at INR 7.81 lakh, ex-showroom. Both the trims mentioned get the non-turbo powertrains. Bookings for Nissan Magnite Giza Special Edition are now open. Customers can book their interest by paying a nominal token amount of INR 11,000.
What Is The Magnite GEZA Edition?
Nissan mentioned that the GEZA edition takes its inspiration from Japanese theatre and its expressive musical themes. With this new GEZA Special Edition, the company aims to offer a better sensory experience for its customers, The major upgrades around this GEZA Edition mainly revolve around Magnite’s infotainment screen and speakers.
For starters, we now get an all-new 9” infotainment screen as opposed to Magnite’s standard 8” unit. Not only is this unit larger in size, but also poses smaller bezels around its display. As before, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity are compatible wirelessly. Noteworthy to mention that there are now premium JBL speakers on offer. Lower-trims benefit from a Beige dual-tone dashboard which is the case with GEZA Special Edition too.
An automatic climate control system, shark fin antenna, ambient lighting with app-based controls, and rear camera with guidelines are the key features on offer. The engine option remains the same. This is the 1.0L 3-cylinder naturally aspirated engine making 71 BHP and 96 Nm, mated to a 5MT. There is a turbocharged version of this engine available with higher trims. This motor makes 99 BHP and 160 Nm, mated to either a 5MT or CVT.
Key Safety Features
In terms of safety, Nissan has made Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Traction Control System (TCS), Hill Start Assist (HSA) and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) as standard fitment across all trim levels.
