Nissan Magnite bags 5,000 bookings in 5 days and 50,000 enquiries, the POWER OF PRICE

Nissan India has confirmed that it has received a great response from the launch of the Magnite. Within just 5 days, it has recorded 50,000 enquiries and 5,000 bookings. Nissan had launched the Magnite at an attractive introductory price of Rs 4,99,000 which goes till Rs 9,59,000 for the top trim, but this price will only stay till the end of December 31st and prices are expected to be increased from the start of 2021.

Magnite is offered with two engine options of which both are BS6 emission-compliant petrol – 1.0-litre naturally aspirated 72 HP motor and 1.0-litre turbocharged 100 Hp motor. Nissan is not providing a diesel engine for the Magnite. The gearbox options are a 5-speed manual or a CVT automatic. The fuel efficiency figures as certified by ARAI is 18.75 kmpl for the naturally aspirated motor with the manual gearbox, 17.7 kmpl for the turbo-CVT and 20 kmpl for the turbo-manual powertrain.

There are a total of 20 variants of Magnite on sale and Nissan reports that 60% of their bookings have been for the top 2 variants (XV and XV Premium) and more than 30% of the customers chose to get the CVT Automatic. About 40% of the customers booked the Magnite through Nissan’s contactless digital channels. Keeping in mind the rising COVID-19 cases in India, Nissan is also providing virtual showroom, virtual test drive, an online vehicle configurator with build and price for the safety of its customers.

The key features included in the Magnite are LED projector headlamps with LED DRLs, LED turn indicators, a chrome beltline, quarter glass moulding, pattern film on the dash with gloss black finishers, black centre console finish, rear AC vents with chrome finish, cruise control and much more. Customers of Magnite will also get an option to buy the Tech Pack which will have a wireless charger, air purifier, JBL speakers, LED illuminated scuff plates, ambient lighting and puddle lamps.

The compact SUV segment is already packed with a lot of cars and Nissan Magnite will lock horns with the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Ford EcoSport and the likes.
