Nissan India sold 6,662 cars in February 2022

Japanese automotive manufacturer Nissan has announced its annual sales report for February 2022 that showcases its total sales and exports. In total, Nissan India sold 6,662 vehicles during this month, with 2,456 units being domestic sales. Meanwhile, the automaker exported a total of 4,206 units that comprised its own vehicles along with Datsun’s vehicles. Nissan introduced its first ‘Made-in-India’ SUV, the Magnite, in December 2020 with resounding success in domestic as well as export markets.

Nissan Magnite Export Sales, Safety & Markets 

Nissan stated that it currently exports its ‘Made-in-India’ Magnite to 15 countries and has sold 7,651 units since launch. These countries include Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Brunei, Uganda, Kenya, Seychelles, Mozambique, Zambia, Mauritius, Tanzania, and Malawi. Based on Nissan’s sales report, the Magnite achieved 2nd place in the sub-compact SUV segment with a 22% market share in Nepal. Meanwhile, the automaker achieved a complete wholesale figure of 4,053 units in the South African market.

With the Magnite being the first product to follow the NEXT strategy, Nissan continues its focus on delivering high-quality products. The Magnite also managed to score a 4-star safety rating at Global NCAP, which showcases Nissan’s resolve to offer best-in-class services. Additionally, this achievement also highlights the company’s commitment towards maintaining the latest safety and world-quality standards with the Magnite. Despite the current shortage of semiconductor chips, the Magnite continues to grow across India and other markets thanks to its value.

Nissan India Services & Offers 

In India, the Magnite has generated more than 88,000 bookings, with 31% of them being generated via a Digital ecosystem. As part of its digital platform Shop@home, Nissan India launched an industry-first innovative Virtual Sales Advisor for Nissan customers. This digital platform offers an end-to-end digital contactless car buying experience for Nissan’s customers thanks to virtual service options. This service includes a virtual showroom, virtual test drive, car personalization, and evaluating the exchange value of an existing vehicle.

The digital platform also allows customers to compare EMIs and apply for finance options before booking their personalized car. Nissan India also offers a subscription plan that includes a ‘White Plate’ and “Buy Back Option” for interested customers. The automaker offers this plan in cities like Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Chennai with several options. This includes Zero Down Payment, Zero Insurance Cost, Zero Maintenance Cost, along with share back, save, and an ownership option.
