Nissan Motor India has released its sales report for October 2022. The company sold cumulative wholesales of 10,011 units. This includes domestic wholesales of 3,061 units and export wholesales of 6,950 units for the given period. The cumulative wholesale YTD growth stood at 22 percent as compared to October 2021.
Festive Season Gives Sales A Boost
Nissan mentioned that the festive season had a strong impact in terms of sales. The growing sales added to the momentum and increased the number of deliveries. Nissan also mentioned customers’ preference for early delivery and ease of finance. The preference of customers was for SUVs, especially among first-time and replacement buyers. Nissan remains confident that demand will continue to rise in the future as well. With an improvement in economic growth, and customer sentiment, and with an improvement in supply, Nissan aims to add more sales volumes in the coming months.
Nissan’s Global Product In India
In the month of October, Nissan also showcased to the media its intended portfolio expansion in India. This included globally established and premium products namely, the Nissan X-Trail, Qashqai, and the Juke. In fact, the company has already started running feasibility tests around its manufacturing facility in Chennai. Nissan confirmed that the X-Trail would become the first model that would hit the Indian market once the tests conclude.
Magnite Continues Its Success
The Nissan Magnite continues to add significant sales volume. It is one of the most loved vehicles in the B-SUV segment and has garnered over 1 lakh bookings. Launched back in December 2020, Nissan Magnite – currently retails at a starting ex-showroom price of INR 5.97 lakh. Underlining Nissan India’s manufacturing philosophy of ‘Make-In-India, Make for the World’, Nissan is also exporting the Magnite in huge volumes. The Nissan Magnite is currently being exported to over 15 countries. The most recent launches have been in Nepal, Bhutan, and Bangladesh Recently, in July 2022, Nissan launched the Magnite Red Edition at an attractive price of INR 7.86 lakh.
