We’ve already shared a report that Mercedes-Benz will consider launching a long wheelbase / LWB variant of the next-generation W213 E-Class sedan here in India. This time, the upcoming car has been spotted testing on international soil, however, is not a long wheelbase model.

The next-generation E-Class, similar to what happened to the new C-Class, will take design cues from the bigger S-Class. From the spyshots, the curved design is evident and this may or may not be liked by the potential customers. The new design is much different from the current boxy & flat body panels.

Changes on the W213 E-Class:

  • S-Class like styling
  • LED headlamp and tail lamps
  • Sloping roofline
  • Panoramic sunroof
  • Circular AC vents
  • Digital instrument cluster
  • Larger MID

Engine options are unknown at the moment. However, we can expect diesel and petrol motors to head to India along with a range-topping AMG variant.

More details about the car such as components being used, weight savings, new technologies etc., could be available in the coming months with more and more spyshots making their way to the internet.
