New Range Rover Sport deliveries begin in India, priced at INR 164.29 Lakh

Jaguar Land Rover has commenced deliveries of the New Range Rover Sport. The SUV is on sale at prices starting from INR 164.29 lakh onwards. Those customers who had booked the car prior will be getting deliveries first.

2023 Range Rover Sport Exterior

On the outside, the car does look big, and has the same wheelbase as the Range Rover at 2,997mm. The outside detailing is varied though. The headlamps on the Range Rover Sport and slim while the front bumper features air intakes. The front and rear windshields get a comfortable rake while the roof slopes downwards towards the rear.

On the sides, the profile is minimal and the SUV gets flush door handles. The windows and the rest of the body aligns with the door seamlessly. Here in India, the company is offering the Dynamic styling pack with a choice of 21 to 23 inch wheel sizes.

At the back, the car gets slim wraparound tail lamps. No longer are they vertical like before, but instead are now oriented horizontally. The car is equipped with a full-size spare wheel.

2023 Range Rover Sport Interior

On the inside, the car feels more premium and upmarket than before. It gets a Velar-inspired dashboard. The steering wheel is a three-spoke unit while the seats are positioned a few mm lower. The canin gets a 13.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with a digital dial. The haptic control get dual function – e.g. the push function gets the fan speed control while the pull will alter the seat ventilation modes. That said, some functions like the seat massager and the lumber control are via the touchscreen.

The Sport also gets an 800W Meridian system with 19 speakers. The seats get a 37-degree recline and 74mm more legroom than before. Rear occupants also get window blinds, which are non-powered.

2023 Range Rover Sport Engine and Transmission and Varaints

The Range Rover sport comes in five variants with two engines on offer. These include the 3.0-litre mild hybrid petrol and diesel units. Each get a straight-six configuration. While the P400 is rated at 400 HP and 550 Nm of torque, the D350 diesel delivers 350 HP and 700 Nm of torque. Both engines are paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox and all-wheel drive system as standard.
