Classic Legends Pvt. Ltd has revealed the all-new engine which will be used on the latest Jawa Motorcycles. The all-new Jawa motorcycle model is expected to go on sale later this year, and will be a modern classic motorcycle bringing back the heritage and legacy of old school motorcycling.

The new engine looks similar to the old Jawa engines, and this was a primary challenge for the brand. But it surely looks the part now. This will be a 293cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC motor producing 27 BHP of power and 28 Nm of torque with a dual exhaust system. The brand confirms a flat torque curve for healthy mid-range performance. Although this engine might seem to be built around that of the Mahindra Mojo, this however is all-new only sharing the bore and stroke configuration with the Mojo.

Classic Legends also highlights that the exhaust note of old Jawa motorcycles has been tried to replicated with this new engine. Although the old engines were 2-stroke and now we have a 4-stroke setup, the exhaust note has been heavily worked upon.

This new engine for Jawa motorcycles is already BS6 compliant and comes with fuel-injection as well.
