New Husqvarna Nuda 901 spotted overseas

Written by Kanad Kalasur

Husqvarna might be planning to revive the Nuda supermoto brand in the coming future. The test mules of the Husqvarna Nuda 901 were spotted testing overseas. While the bikes were heavily camouflaged, we can definitely make out some key points of the bike.

What’s new in the upcoming Husqvarna Nuda 901?

Compared to the earlier Nuda, the new 901 will get a bunch of visual and mechanical updates. It now gets a wider fuel tank and large shrouds which add to the visual looks of the motorcycle. The slim seat is carried over and the bikes gets a single-side exhaust.

The frame of the bike is new as well and it is exposed. The production version could however have more panels than the test bikes. The headlight unit is very similar to the older biker which ensures a similar identity to the Nuda bike brand.

Powertrain of the new Husqvarna Nuda 901

It is likely that Husqvarna would plonk the KTM 890 Duke’s motor in the Nuda 901. This LCD engine makes 121 BHP and 99 Nm of peak torque. While these are numbers in the KTM, Husqvarna could tune the engine differently. In terms of the cooling hardware, the radiator on the test bike is bigger than the KTM. This could mean better cooling for the supermoto.

Features of the new Husqvarna Nuda 901

The bike maker could borrow other bits from the KTM parts bin as well. These include front USP shocks, rear dual shocks and dual front brakes along with rear disc brakes. We can spot 17-inch wheels on the test bike with road rubber. Other driver aids on this bike could include traction control, ride modes, ABS, and more.

Production and launch timelines

The Husqvarna Nuda 901 could take some time before it hits the shelves. The test mule appears to be in early stages of testing and not in the final production ready guise. Sadly, this bike is unlikely to make its way to the Indian shores anytime soon.
