Renowned American motorcycle manufacturer Harley-Davidson has unveiled a new teaser of its new upcoming motorcycle on its social media page. The teaser showcases an unveil date of 26th January 2022, a “Further, Faster” tagline, and a teardrop-shaped fuel tank. Currently, Harley-Davidson has shrouded the new bike in secrecy and has not revealed any new details about its design or specs.
However, the teaser suggests that the new bike is likely to be a cruiser that will feature a new engine. Reports suggest that the new bike will feature the 1252cc, liquid-cooled, V-twin engine from the Pan America and Sportster S. Harley-Davidson recently launched the Sportster S in India at a price tag of INR 15.51 lakh (ex-showroom).
Harley-Davidson Sportster S: Design Highlights
Dubbed as the most advanced cruiser made by the company so far, the Sportster S sports a unique design. Since its launch, the bike has grabbed the attention of riders and enthusiasts alike, thanks to its eccentric design language. Unveiled globally in July 2021, the Sportster S features a bulky, low squat design with large yet prominent twin exhausts. Harley-Davidson offers the Sporster S in 3 distinct color options- Vivid Blac, Midnight Crimson, and Stone Washed White Pearl.
Harley-Davidson Sportster S: Technical Specs Highlights
Powering the bike is the aforementioned 1250cc, liquid-cooled, V-twin engine which produces 119.3 PS and 127.4 Nm. The brand has paired the engine to a 6-speed manual gearbox and offers the bike with four riding modes. Additionally, Harley-Davidson has equipped the bike with keyless ignition, navigation, lean-sensitive traction control, all-LED lighting, and cruise control. Along with Road, Sport, Rain, and Custom riding modes, the bike sports a tire pressure monitoring system and cornering ABS.
Riders can use the TFT LCD screen on the Sportster S to analyze and keep track of information and statistics. For enhanced comfort during long rides, the bike features fully adjustable USD front forks and a rear monoshock suspension. For enhanced braking performance, the bike features a single 320mm front disc with a 4-piston Brembo caliper. At the rear, the bike gets a 260mm brake disc with a 2-piston Brembo caliper.
