New-generation Suzuki S-Cross to be revealed soon

According to sources, Suzuki plans to unveil its brand new, next-generation S-Cross globally on November 25th, 2021. Recent changes expected for the 2022 S-Cross are a brand new front grille and redesigned alloy wheels. Reports also suggest that Suzuki will offer its new light hybrid technology (MHEV) on the next-gen S-Cross. Another expected powertrain inclusion is the updated 1.5-litre petrol engine with a 48V mild-hybrid system. Suzuki plans to pair the engine with a 6-speed manual or automatic transmissions and introduce its ‘AllGrip’ 4X4 drive system.

2021 Maruti Suzuki S-Cross: Design, Price, and Colours 

The S-Cross features an all-metal, chrome garnished, vertically slat front grille with LED projector headlamps at the front. Along with integrated LED DRLs in the headlamps, the car features 16-inch dual-tone machined alloy wheels for an added stance. The rear of the S-Cross features updated LED rear tail lamps with a rear wiper and washer.

Maruti Suzuki sells the S-Cross via its NEXA range of premium dealerships in 4 variants- Sigma, Delta, Zeta, and Alpha. The base Sigma variant costs INR 8.39 lakh (ex-showroom), while the top-spec Alpha variant costs INR 12.39 lakh (ex-showroom). Maruti Suzuki offers the S-Cross in 5 colours- NEXA Blue, Caffeine Brown, Granite Grey, Pearl Arctic White, and Premium Silver.

2021 Maruti Suzuki S-Cross: Technical Specifications 

Maruti Suzuki powers the S-Cross with a BS6 compliant, 1.5-litre K15 petrol engine with next-gen Smart Hybrid Technology. Thanks to integrated Brake Energy Regeneration, Idle Start-Stop, and Torque Assist, the engine offers 18.55 km/l of fuel economy. The engine also features an Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) with dual lithium-ion batteries, offering enhanced driveability and efficiency. The engine paired to either 6-speed manual or automatic transmissions produces 105 PS of power and 138 Nm of torque.

2021 Maruti Suzuki S-Cross: Features

Maruti Suzuki offers the S-Cross with a whole host of convenience features such as cruise control and rain-sensing wipers. Along with anti-pinch windows, the S-Cross features reverse parking sensors with a camera, automatic headlamps, and electrically foldable ORVMs. On the interior, the S-Cross sports a 7-inch ‘Smartplay Studio’ touchscreen system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. Other notable features include steering-mounted controls, voice commands, and an automatic climate control system.
