Nissan Leaf third generation – Bigger and better?
Revealing its global lineup expansion plans, Nissan has taken the cover off its upcoming third-generation Leaf model. The popular moniker has been the brand’s first of the EVs which has established itself as a strong contender internationally.
However, Nissan has completely revised the third-gen model as it is no longer a hatchback, but it has grown into a smart-looking futuristic coupe-SUV.
As per the company, the growing demand for SUVs is visible worldwide, and the new-gen Leaf is going to offer the best of both worlds of efficiency and practicality.
Speaking of the styling, the front fascia has a smiling-face design with connected LED lights and an illuminated logo on the big piano black grille.
The side profile is dominated by the sloping roof, flush-type door handles, and the big wheel arches, which are further complemented by the dual-tone alloy wheels. The rear door handles are hinged on the C-pillar to provide a seamless outlook.
However, Nissan has not showcased its rear design but we can expect an upright boot with connected LED lights.
Additionally, Nissan claims that the new-gen model will feature a unique 3-in-1 powertrain that will take the efficiency and performance miles ahead of the current model.
Nissan has kept the other details, like the cabin design, features, and specs, a secret, which is destined to be revealed by mid-2025.
As far as the India launch is concerned, we do not expect it to land here any time soon.
