Audi has launched the new A6 sedan in India which rivals the likes of Mercedes-Benz E-Class and BMW 5-Series sedan. The 2019 Audi India in India has been priced at INR 54,20,000 ex-showroom and the new variant A6 45 TFSI is now available across all Audi showrooms in India. This is the 8th generation Audi A6 sedan now available across the German brands showrooms.
The Audi A6 TFSI comes powered by a 2.0L, turbocharged petrol engine producing 245 HP of power and 370 Nm of torque and the car claims to sprint from 0-100 kmph in 6.8 seconds. This is a BSVI compliant engine, and the first from Audi in India. The engine is coupled to a 7-speed S Tronic automatic gearbox. Audi has also introduced mild-hybrid MMHEC technology in the new A6 sedan making use of a belt alternator starter and a lithium-ion battery in addition with a 12V subsystem. With this new tech, the coolest thing is that the engine switches off while coasting, start / stop system and energey recuperation; all of which will improve the overall efficiency of the 2019 Audi A6. Audi has also introduce progressive steering, heavy duty suspension specific for comfort and electronic chassis platform on the new A6 with the drive select allowing for dynamic handling.
Audi now offers a full HD virtual cockpit which is a digital speedometer cluster. The German luxury sedan also comes with a new MMI system with 2 touchscreen displays, voice control and online search function as well. The 2019 Audi A6 also has 7 personalised settings for 7 drivers. The MMI navigation plus comes with a 10.1″ display. The audio system in the Audi A6 is a premium Bang & Olufsen 3D unit and the car also offers wireless charging along with self-learning abilities based on driver preference.
Do assist the drivers, Audi also offers park assist, front & rear parking sensors and lane departure warning on the 2019 A6.
To carry luggage, the A6 comes with 530L of capacity, electric release for the boot with a sensor control which activates by a kicking movement under the rear bumper. The new A6 body is made out of steel and aluminium which has resulted in weight reduction along with a stronger body shell overall. Audi has worked on the aeroacoustics to keep the cabin silent and the car reduce the wind drag when moving. Inside the brand also offers new leather + leatherette seat upholstery and a large panoramic glass roof. The 2019 Audi A6 has matrix LED headlamps with LED tail lights, 18″ alloy wheels, chrome accents, 4-zone climate control, singleframe grille, etc.
